People have been expressing concern about how long DCL's injury is taking. Didn't seem that serious at the time. The Telegraph Sport today, says that he's out 'till January. Isn't that when the next transfer period starts and when clubs find excuses to not play players who might be up for sale? Just thinking out loud.

Sorry does this happen? Clubs just stop playing players in October in anticipation of a transfer in January?

Know people will probably think I'm talking crap, but my mate's dad does the tiling for Calvert-Lewins grandad and he said it looks like he could be out for about 12 weeks.
Nope. If you think about it someone has got to do tiling and that someone will obviously be someone’s mate‘s dad who will pick up these kind of nuggets of information from time to time. Thanks for sharing ;)

Many deals are done outside the transfer window with the paperwork finalised at the appropriate time. It would be the buying club who would request (demand) the er, extension of the injury time.
