I kind of agree with the poster though. I've never felt that comfortable with him on pens. Think it's the short run up or something but I don't think his technique is great.

Anyway it happens, and it's only one time. We could have done with it to be fair.

he's only ever taken 2 pens for us before today though and scored them both?

It was a bad one today but he's the best penalty taker in the squad.

Not sure he’s the best in the squad tbh, if a chance falls to a player 12 yards out, I’d probably it was to Richi or Gray. But anyway, keep him on them unless he misses again.

Hard into a corner is best. Silly for him to take it today. Loads of pressure, first game in ages.

Glad to see him back. It is a sad indictment of our recruitment policy that DCL and Gordon are probably our best hopes of not getting dragged in to a relegation battle.

Keep your knee over the ball and hit it. It is not rocket science. To blaze a penalty like that is disgusting. I am fed up with these overpaid Muppets.

He’s our designated taker so why wouldn’t he?

All the excuses for him missing are due to him not playing for 3 months. If that’s the case don’t take the penalty. Give that duty to someone else until he’s back up to speed.

His pens earlier this season where very good to be fair, wasn't the best pen but want the worst.

People miss pens all the time, who would you have had take a pen over him today?

Gray or Doucoure even.

I have no issue with DCL taking pens. But so rusty after his first game back he should have passed it to someone else.
