Offer him to all teams still involved with the Champions league @ £5M , I guarantee no team would want him, so why should we? Who ever the clown
was that likened him to Lewandowski, should have his membership suspended.

I think you'd be surprised, he's a young lad constantly improving and increasing his scoring rate at the same time. It won't go unnoticed in the world of football because unlike fans they understand development curves.

Easy career this football journalism isn’t it? Do they all sit around and pull a few names out of the hat and decide what to make up?

Pulls out DCL:

Plays for Everton [X]
On a good run of form at the minute [X]
Looked good on Alan Shearer’s highlight reel on MOTD the other day but haven’t seen much of him previous to this [X]
Praised by his manager as ‘potentially’ one of Europe’s best in future [X]
Everton have sold players to Man Utd in the past [X]

‘World Exclusive: DCL to Man Utd for £50m’

Utd have Rashford, Martial and Greenwood.
At Everton he is playing all the time. Going to Utd would block his progress as his game time will reduce.
After a few years, he has cemented his place in the Everton lineup and is starting to hit a vein of form in a team now set up for him.
This could quickly evaporate If he is not playing regularly.
Besides which, there have been reservations about whether he will ever be prolific. One short spell does not prove anything.
He needs to continue developing at Everton under Carlos expert guidance to fulfil his potential.
I think this is ridiculous paper talk.
You have just mentioned Greenwood, I'm sure that he will be one of the best players in the World in the next 3 years, maybe United will swap him
for DCL, my arse they will.

Exactly. If he goes there his chances will be limited. Besides which, he’s gone from work in progress to Utd top target in 3 weeks.
It’s just ridiculous.
It would be the worst career move he could make.

Hmmmm... you really think I would rather he was gash just so I would be right? You think I would rather watch my team struggle every week just so I could be right? Well that’s simply not true

I refuse to accept any positives? I have said many time that I like him as a person and he has a great attitude etc but I also said that I don’t think he’s going to be good enough and that he shooting is crap , which let’s be honest it is.

I don’t really care about eating humble pie tbh I would love him to turn into the best striker in the league and watch us win every week but he had a run of games against the “ big” teams last season and went back to his usual self shortly after.

This time he has a better manager and more importantly a change in formation that gives him a partner. Him having 3-4 games doesn’t mean he’s suddenly the Harry Kane people on here are saying he could be. If he keeps up performances and reaches a decent goal tally then I will be over the moon. Calling out all the people on here that said he was crap, championship standard etc is a bit premature imo and like I said earlier , we will have to wait until the end of the season for that

I disagree.

Go back 12 months... every single game without a goal or a miss you would be all over it with glee. The thread turned into a cauldron of ridicule and it was an embarrassment.

Level headed fans were putting the spotlight on how his athleticism and work rate was helping us score goals as a team and you were far too interested in telling us how he was useless.

Sadly. Football is full of wanna be experts but nothing looks more ridiculous than a players own fans desperately trawling stats to try and prove their dislike of a player is warranted.

He cost £2m and is on low end wages yet you were behaving like he was a £60m flop

I really hope DCL targets 17 PL goals this season from here on out. A goal every other game from the remaining 18 PL games, added to the 8 he already has doesn’t seem too outlandish for an inform striker.

Target 20 league goals next season.

Mario Melchiot made a good point there on Sky Sports. Thinks Ancelotti has told DCL to spend more time in the centre of the pitch rather than running the channels.
