I agree we need a proven PL striker to move us forwards

If by released you mean teams would sign him on a free, then fair enough. But if Everton pitched him for sale, at let's say £15m I'm not sure there would be much, if any interest.

I got the impression Coleman was pissed off with calvert-lewin, the way he was acting in the celebratory scrum and Keane ushering him away.

Pity Coleman who was MOTM imo could not find DCL in the box more often as his crosses are usually naff......,.

Currently he’s simply not at the level required. And personally, I don’t see the ‘potential’ he’s supposed to have or the workrate. For me, he’s a very mediocre front man probably at Championship level. I don’t think you can teach predatory goalscoring ability....you either have it, or you don’t, and DCL sadly doesn’t. It’s a hard fact to acknowledge about one of your first team squad, especially a youngster, but I just don’t see any signs of improvement irrespective of who the manager is.
It suggests Ellis Simms is no better if he’s not getting a sniff of the first team squad.

Yes but DCL chances were one a good save 2 not even a chance were Mina had a easy miss to score to make it 2-1 ....so no do not blame DCL ....
