Well, I think it’s more to do with the fact that he was offered a contract and wouldn’t sign itYet we let him go and kept Beto because of a purple patch.
Happy for him to keep scoring except against us.

Took a bit of time for them to warm to him, glad he’s starting to score a few and looking fitter. Same end he scored that one v one when we won 3-1 there a couple seasons backThey’re singing a song for him set to “Last Christmas”

Are either Beto or Barry really big money strikers these days?Absolutely zero surprise here, that once he got fit and didnt play for a manager called Sean Dyche he'd be back to scoring goals.
Even for a really awful team, he will still score goals. It's a shame he didn't get to play for Moyes, as he might have got to double figured with the chances we make.
Frankly on another level to our two big money strikers.

For ‘normal’ people I would totally agree, but that being said the football world is totally different and I can only assume it was 30 mill cos we couldn’t afford biscuits for the tea lady’s trolly at the time and the selling club accepted that we didn’t need to pay anything that year.Id say 30m fee is quite bit money.
Yeah reminded me a bit of the Derby at Goodison where he ran those lots CB’s in to the ground. That was the ideal calvert lewin goal. Put decent crosses on his head and he'll finish a few of them each season.
And the fact he had massive wage demands after not turning up for 4 years PercyYet we let him go and kept Beto because of a purple patch.
