From playing for Everton.
Its a simple question.
Under which manager?
Here is a question for you, is he playing in the premier league next season, or has he gone abroad as you seemed to suggest he would have to?

If you think who the manager is at Everton has any impact on this being a step up or a step down to move from Everton to Leeds then there's no reasonable discussion to be had here catcher.Under which manager?

You've said it's not a step down, so we can take from that you believe this move to Leeds is a step up for him.
I suggested he wasn't going to move to a better club than us and, regardless of who manages us, he simply hasn't has he?
Maupay's available on a freeIf Sheffield United had won promotion, he would have gone there instead of Leeds. I think he will score a few more at Leeds next season than he did for us last season, but I cannot see him scoring for fun (i.e. I reckon he will score around eight goals, tops).
Should he want to get back amongst the goals, he ought to find himself in the box more, facing the goal. As we know, his aerial ability is one of his best qualities, which any side could exploit to their advantage, yet I would not be so sure that Leeds is the best team to do so. His role at Leeds will probably mirror the role he played with us after Ancelotti departed, in that he will probably spend most of his time on the pitch trying to hold the ball up and get others involved, playing with his back to the goal.
I would also suggest that he needs a fast second striker playing alongside him to act as a foil, in a similar role to the one Richarlison played in at times when he was with us.
Let's keep it that way.Maupay's available on a free![]()
No player would agree to that contract. If the manager decides not to play you you're losing 90% of your wages.Wonder what his deal is? Rumours callum Wilson's contract is 6k a week basic that goes up to 95k if he plays over 2 minutes a week...
Not sure if that's genius or idiotic
My labrador has just taken umbrage at this analysis.I like the fella, but lower league is about right for him, he's poor at 1 on 1 situations, his goal return is below average, but playing in those Everton teams most forwards would struggle, having to chase your own flick ons because the nearest player is 40 yards away, or if you do manage to hold the ball up you had Dacoure lolloping up like a mentally challenged Labrador, only for him to trip over his own feet, good luck to him I say
That's still paying way too much for him.Maupay's available on a free![]()
Sick note waiting to happenExpect him to work a relegation clause into his deal, expect him to work his socks off all season to have sides take notice and see if leeds do go down.

You think it's silly because you've already said Leeds is a step up for him.I seem to remember you saying he wouldn't get a Premier league club. He has.
I think this step up/down thing is a silly question really. My honest answer is I don't really care. I pointed out he would join a PL club, and not one of the smaller ones (like say your Bournemouth/ Brentford etc). He's getting paid more money too, so it's a good move for him. Thats what matters.
He was always going to be signed up by a PL club. That was very obvious. Even after a long injury, and 3-4 ywars of injury ravaged performances, he's still a player who PL teams can see is good enough to lead the line and score goals. It's no surprise that's how it's played out.
