Dominic Calvert-Lewin watch

Reportedly wants £150k a week to go to Leeds. Not sure who is advising him but I’d say they’re probably over estimating what someone is willing to pay for him.
If he doesn't believe in him, no one else is likely to. The safety net of being here is over for him, he's 28, and this is the time in his career to do a bit or find out he never had it after all. Some mad numbers flying around currently, that diaz chap from down the way, they made 15m euro's on him, he wanted out, they wanted gone, and still got a premium. I don't see how so many sides have these staggering funds to splash about with impunity.

They have walked away from it by all accounts, he is in serious danger of his career collapsing if he doesn't come down off his high horse, no club is going to give a player of his age with that record (Both injuries and goals) £150k per week.

I think his best way of getting his career back on track honestly is going down to the Championship.
He's a gamble for anyone, so instead of wanting ridiculous money based on a decent 18 months 4 years ago, show that you can stay fit and consistently score goals.

It got Solanke his Spurs move

He may have been better accepting a lower deal with us but one based on an added increment each time he scores. For example, £20k per goal so it focuses him on actually doing what he is paid to do. That way he can accept an £80k per week contract but if he gets a hat trick it works out at £140k. But I doubt he has enough confidence in his ability to go down that route and his injury history doesn't bode well. Barring a miracle the boy is a spent force.

Oh look it's gone exactly the way we all thought it would.

Shockingly, it turns out teams are not falling over themselves to waste over 100k a week on a fella who hardly scores and can't stay fit.

He might still get that big move to fill a squad spot somewhere but he's not going to be the main man, getting over 100k and starting every week at any team better than us. Anyone who claimed that was insane as we can clearly see.

I don't wish him I'll but I take great satisfaction in being correct about how this would play out after years of people exaggerating his ability.
