But from my experience with Dachshunds, my aunty has one, and they’re a very needy breed, as in, they’ll want to be around you all time, and they’ll want constant attention.
Expect them to whimper and make noises if they don’t get what they want.
But they’re an indoor breed, so if you don’t mind them being around you and under your feet most of the time, then it’s ok.
When we had smaller breeds, a walk was just on the lead and a bit meh and repetitive, however our larger dogs (including the current one) it's play.
I can take our current dog to the park, and she's in and out of the bushes, chasing squirrels, playing ball and generally being loving to everyone.
