issue with the plane. I was offered a7am flight in the morning but that would have meant a 3am get up. 3am get for a holiday flight is fine, not for works flight

I really am going soft as I get older.
Actually nearly started crying looking at that and I’m not even a massive dog lover.

A boy named Kaiser. Both of his parents had long hair around their neck but body hair wasn't very long. Still could end up being a long hair.

I just miss my GSD

Mine wasn't a long-haired GSD but looked almost exactly the same - really fluffy when he was (relatively) small. Straightened the hair out quickly after.

I know I have some photos of him somewhere from that time but they'd be 100x100 potato quality pictures

All of mine since 2000 have been short haired, but when they moult it is like a flipping snowstorm!!

To the uninitiated, GSDs moult their 'down' which is the white fluffy undercoat beneath the usual black and tan outer coat - there are of course white and all black GSDs too.

I have read of one GSD owner who spun the moulted hair from her dogs and was able to knit jumpers with it!!

We had a short hair GSD that died 2 and a half years ago and she used shed massively. My wife calls them German Shedders.

Since I retired and I see more daytime TV with ads about cremation and wills, I must say I have to look away when the RSPCA appeal comes on - it is really upsetting to see what humans can do to animals.

Our will (Mrs BR and mine) leaves donations to a number of bodies, and the Kilkenny SPCA and ISPCA are included.
