Metabolic Response?

mechanically reclamed meat.

Reids you needn't worry about the enemy to your family! Out of interest, can she eat chicken?

yeah, but can't even hold an egg in it's shell, as it is pourous.
she did once and then touched her eye..... not good, drank about a jug of piriton.
we don't have them in the house, although for some reason there are 2 in the fridge, they will get binned, as if i fry them i will be paranoid and spend about 2 days cleaning the pan etc. plus they will clog me up for about a week, when you cut something from your diet, if you then have it the effects are very noticeable.

I was talking to a farmer who supplies free range eggs to local shops and he was telling me its actually safer to eat battery hen eggs as, although they're kept in cruel disgusting environments, you know exactly what they've eaten, whereas his chickens can technically eat at all sorts and its uncontrollable. To me, an egg is an egg though! Reids you needn't worry about the enemy to your family! Out of interest, can she eat chicken?

*Takes deep breath and considers how to answer this without offending*

He can't be a very smart farmer then. Either that or he is a terrible salesman (or on the payroll of big corporate food company).

So, you'd rather have hormone and antibiotic induced chickens who can't even stand on their own two legs for more than 2 or 3 steps??? It is unnatural, it is cruel to the chicken and it is terrible working environments for the people who have to maintain the place.

I, personally, would rather have the eggs of a chicken who has done what chickens do. Eating a natural diet that nature intended it to eat, when it wants to, where it wants to.

E-coli outbreaks have started because of the feed-farm cultures. They are left to fester in their own feces which accumulates, then runs off into other areas. And you are ok eating that?

Happy chickens will produce better quality eggs that the highly stressed battery chickens.

And the farmer dude.....he should have some sort of control over what his chickens are eating by simple policing of his grounds. like any good farmer would. Oh, and bugs......NATURAL FOOD for birds, chickens included.

The only people to blame for kids fussiness with food is their parents, thats where the buck stops, nobody else to blame.

If they have a bad diet and are overweight due to eating [Poor language removed], then it's their parents fault, it's all too easy for them to say that they both work long hours and so convenience food is all that they can manage, they are working the hours for their sakes not the kids,'cos they are of the 'must have' type, they do the hours so that they don't have to go without anything and not so that they can provide meals for their kids.

McD's etc are fine in MODERATION, as is most things, but on a regular basis is no way to bring up a child.

We get kids coming round for tea and it's we don't eat this, we don't eat that, so we ask what they do eat ? processed [Poor language removed] is usually the answer. Well we haven't got that, and then they eat what we are having, because the option of something else is taken away and they don't want to be hungry.

A food allergy isn't always a bad thing as it takes that ready made [Poor language removed] out of the equation.

*stands up and applaudes* Well said. Its utterly refreshing to hear a parent say that. I wish i could make all parents think like you!
