I loved mrs ambrose too, she was ace, and mr hashemi! I really miss the elfed but left because Mr Grandfield did and Mr Parry was a kopite!

Corn is in pretty much 90% of everything today. Most food is rebranded, prepacked corn that is modified for flavor, texture and appearance.

*shudders* ugh... I hate eating processed food! I lived out in the states for a few months 3 years ago, in disney, and could not believe the low standard of food they served! I can tell you that by the end of my time with that company I was dieing for a good old chipper tea, a sunday roast... and most of all... a propper BREW! (Not in that order i may add... Brew was the top of my agenda!).

Chicken Kiev's in the UK have to contain just 10% actual chicken by law. The UK has a bit of an issue still with beef, primarily because once upon a time farmers dreamed up the genius idea of feeding the minced up carcasses of the herd just culled to the herd up for the block next. You guessed it, mad cow disease. Farmed salmon contains PCB's which in high enough concentration are extremely harmful to your brain. Get in!!! Hock burn chicken, baby cows in showbox size crates, radioactive sheep, more 'rusk' in sausages than pig meat - the UK has it all.

Cow's are supposed to be grass-fed. Grazing in pastures, self-fertilizing and doing what cows do.

Get this, companies over here are farming fish and, ready for this, teaching them to eat CORN! All in the name of cutting costs to boost profit. To hell with the animal and the consumer, eh?

One thing that surprised me, is Wal-Mart were very candid with their participation in this movie. They have opened their doors to organic food sources because it is what their customers want. They are customer driven (and contrary to the popular belief) and are trying to make an effort to do the right thing (regardless of if it is profit driven.....it's a start)

Yeah, beef is a bit of a pain, it takes 10kgs of grain to get 1kg of meat. So much radioactive material was deposited in Wales a large % of the lamb eaten here comes from New Zealand. Wish I had my cutlets airmiles!

Haha! They'd rather eat raw veg than touch raw meat! I had one pupil tell me that chicken is magically grown, ready sliced and cooked! I could NOT believe it when he said that.

The only people to blame for kids fussiness with food is their parents, thats where the buck stops, nobody else to blame.

If they have a bad diet and are overweight due to eating [Poor language removed], then it's their parents fault, it's all too easy for them to say that they both work long hours and so convenience food is all that they can manage, they are working the hours for their sakes not the kids,'cos they are of the 'must have' type, they do the hours so that they don't have to go without anything and not so that they can provide meals for their kids.

McD's etc are fine in MODERATION, as is most things, but on a regular basis is no way to bring up a child.

We get kids coming round for tea and it's we don't eat this, we don't eat that, so we ask what they do eat ? processed [Poor language removed] is usually the answer. Well we haven't got that, and then they eat what we are having, because the option of something else is taken away and they don't want to be hungry.

A food allergy isn't always a bad thing as it takes that ready made [Poor language removed] out of the equation.

N.Z. lamb tastes totally different, and is far nicer, the taste is affected by the grass. there is no sodium in the soil over there so it will have less salt in it, as will the veg from N.Z. The midwife told us that when Mrs B.O.G. was having our first, as they said she will HAVE to put salt on her food as their grub wont contain enough for her whilst pregnant.

Lamb is well expensive there as well, because they could sell every last bit for export, so if you want to eat it you have to pay the same. Shanks were about 30p each though cos they cut them off to save space.....and they were superb.

Anyone seen the ginger fella on bbc that was on the other night trying to sell breast milk to Asda ?
He did a chicken prog, about them filling it with gloop, and stood outside bookers cash and carry in waders full of water to demonstrate how much is in their fillets.

I was talking to a farmer who supplies free range eggs to local shops and he was telling me its actually safer to eat battery hen eggs as, although they're kept in cruel disgusting environments, you know exactly what they've eaten, whereas his chickens can technically eat at all sorts and its uncontrollable. To me, an egg is an egg though! Reids you needn't worry about the enemy to your family! Out of interest, can she eat chicken?
