Saha won't be here in a few seasons time Bill unless he can stay in good shape.
Aggard needs a little coaching still, as he seems to run out of ideas when taking guys on, and though Baxter has potential, I doubt he will see too many games if the other lads stay fit.

That's news to me.

Injuries can happen to anyone. Evidence shows that Saha is past his issues. Does that mean he couldn't go down tomorrow in training? Not at all.

But you have to go with what's on the roster and for me, Saha and Yakubu are a very formidable partnership.

Surely this is more to do with feeding the strikers, our scoring rate dropped away when Teta was injured. Our style of play under Moyes has always produced more consistent results when we use 4 5 1, Cahill is more suited to it, the backs become more involved and the defence is more secure. Strikers will score if the ball is put in the right place, on Sunday it wasn't and as far as I'm concerned I still can't understand why Coleman wasn't brought on after all he provided the ammunition against Spurs yet gets ignored against lesser opposition, strange decision by the boss as far as I can see

He'll be 32 when next season starts.
It gets harder each year to keep fitness levels up, and injuries are more difficult to shake.
Yes, he is an awesome player when fit, and short term, he is perfect, but long term, surely we must be looking at options of a replacement.

And when that time comes, Moyes will more than likely have something lined up. But I don't think he's overly concerned about looking for striker replacements right now.

We don't have a striker problem we have a goalscoring problem. If Saha doesn't turn up we're ****ed, unless Bily gets the odd goal.

It seems that the transfer rags feel that we have a striker problem... we get "linked" to forwards more than any other position. For me, we have an Arteta, Mouthinho problem.

That's Moyes' problem.
He doesn't plan his signings in advance. No doubt we'll see a striker we've never heard of on the last day of a window some time in the future. :lol:

True.

But when you have no money, most of your signings end up being last minute anyway.

I'm not anymore happy about it than anyone else on here but that's just the way it is with Everton at the moment when it comes to the transfer window.

I like to think that if the fans see things, then the manager and his team must see things, and every manager must browse forums occasionally for feedback.
