Do we bottle the big games ?

We don't. It's a really stupid idea that we do.

We're not good enough to play in big games is the point.

2 finals of which we've won one and lost one and 2 last day relegation matches that we won are it for big games in the last 25 years. 3 out of 4 ain't bad.

The whole panoply of " plucky Everton", "punch above our weight", "dangerous underdog" etc etc are actually a burden. Great to see RM taking a big brush to that mentality.

....only kidding!!. I genuinely believe we will win this 2-1. Cannot wait for 1.30am kick off (NZ time). Live on ESPN!!

The fact that half of our fans apparently think a quarter final is a big game kind of says everything you need to know about our fall from grace, like.
You might wish to acquaint yourself with any Arsenal blog (or not!! lol)...well over half their fans think it's a big game....because it is

Course its a big game. It would be for any club who have won all sorts though. At this stage of the cup all the games are big.

Ive said elsewhere that i dont like the semis being at wembley but win this game v Arsenal (which im convinced we will) and we playing at the twin towers again.

The fact that those idiots think it, only proves my point, tbf.

We did...
Not anymore now we dont have Moyes as our manager.

We played 1, maybe 2 big games under Moyes.

Our problem under him is that we simply weren't good enough over a whole season to get to big games.

So are the teams in the 4th division play offs.

A big game is one where whether you win or lose changes the history of the club.

In fifteen years time noone will remember if we lost in the qfs or the semi finals this year.

Disagree mate. I assume you mean the final as one of his big games?

Id argue that we played big games in Europe and domestically over the years - not as many as we should have granted as you say we often werent good enough to be involved.

I agree to a point and going by that logic your right with maybe 1 game under Moyes (the final)
