When was the last time an Everton took a dive and it actually paid off for us? I can remember Barmby winning us a penalty with a dive but that was nearly 20 years ago. We mainly just get bookings these days. It's not really worth it.

Did Hibbo get the pen that day at Blackpool?

Still don't understand the whole we're better than that mentality. Every single weekend there is games won and lost by diving for freekicks and pens. Trophies won for the exact same. Why are we better than that? All the ones who've said its terrible, I hope we win a trophy from a shocking dive for a penno, whilst I'm celebrating I assume you'll be penning letters to the fa demanding the trophy to be writ off

Don't like it anyway but regardless of it being cheating I think we're in danger of seeing players whose instincts are to look for contact instead of opportunity. It's also becoming a real grey area where pundits and refs can see certain players as cleverly getting contact and others doing the same as cheats. And you can bet it'll depend on who they play for.
I particularly hate that Stevie G move of dropping your foot to get contact. It's sneaky as hell and won them their champions league. Was gutted to see Kane, who I generally like, looking like he did it on Saturday and got a sending off.
I'd happily see our players subbed for doing it.

Harry Kane drags his legs behind in order to make contact. He does this very often but hasnt been criticized for it at all.

Here is why I hate when Everton players dive: they act like they are shot. Why not...I don't know, stumble for a bit before falling on your face? Like a normal person would do if they had the slightest of contact whilst running. The whole 'arms thrown to the sky' makes it look like the fakest crap ever.

That being said, hate diving. Would love it eradicated.

One that does my head in is Pienaar. A player only has to touch him and he throws himself to the floor. Not in a dive like manner mind but does my head in all the same.

Remember kids cheats never prosper!

we're the only team who i see get actual bookings from it, especially outside the box. maybe we're just bad at it because we don't engage in it too often. trust us to have an honest spaniard as a manager, instead of the vast majority of cheats. Just bring in retrospective action and hand out lengthy bans ffs! Sport is always supposed to be about the best of the best - not this best of the manipulation that we see nowadays. Drug cheats in athletics and cycling who hope they can get away with it. It's poor.
