400km, which takes 2 hrs 15 on the train and then a 20 min bus. Naturally I rent a small flat a 10 min walk from work. I'm in 2-3 days a week

35 miles/22 miles depending on the route I take. 35-40mins for day shifts, 60-70mins for night shift, definitely notice the 2 hours added on to my 12 hour shifts!

34 miles, takes between 45 minutes to an hour. Can only drive, would take 2 hours on publiv transport and cost a fortune. But I can work from home if I want, some people in the office cry when I work from home though, oddballs

Bus then train, takes anywhere between 30-50 minutes.
Occassionally drive which takes about 20 minutes to work and 50 minutes homewards

Never lived more than 8 miles from my workplace, which was good after a 12 hour night shift. Enjoying retirement now.
Agreed
I worked a 12 hr rotating shift 3 days a week and nothing worse than a drive home after a night shift
Luckily I’ve always lived within 2 miles of the job but no biggie
Lads that had a 40/50min drive would talk of having the windows rolled down and the radio blaring to try and stay awake

I hate working any further than an hour away... But sometimes it could be a couple hours away like when we built leigh rmi new ground
