I'm hoping the sertraline are working, I think I'm feeling slightly stronger but I'm not sure 100% or I've had a good couple of days and it will all fall apart again. Fingers crossed though, today I'm feeling positive.

How long have you been on them and what dose ? I've been on them for 10 days and I've picked up massively after 2 weeks of being at my lowest in a long time . At first I took them at night and I felt crap the day after but I started taking them off a morning on Monday and I feel much better .

I've been on them 2-3 weeks also; started on 50mg a day now on 100mg a day and going to the Drs wednesday she will more than likely put it up further as that was the intention. I take them in a morning.

They didnt do anything for me mate,just left me feeling drained constantly which in turn left my mood in a worse state,

I'm only on 50mg but will probably increase but I take propanol for anxiety aswell plus the quack is talking about adding pregabolin again but I'll see what happens

It's weird how mess affect people differently . When I took at night I felt drained the next day but since I've took them first thing in the morning they've helped me get a bit of motivation back and I've gone from usually having an afternoon kip to staying awake all day . Even been in the gym every day and walking the dog a good few miles every day which in the weeks before I barely got out of bed .

I take pregablin as well, more for my neck though. I'll see how the next few days go, feeling good today though so going to enjoy it.

I've took them before but jibbed them but he wants me to give them another go . I'm not sure myself .

Yeah I had lack of sleep and appetite while on them,they just wasnt for me,thats why I keep saying in this thread to give them a chance but if they arent working tell your GP,once I got mine changed a lot of the energy came back and the sleepless nights are a lot less

defo . Everyone is different so it's trial and error til you find what's best for you . Meds aren't a solution to your problems either . Just a temporary help

My anxiety is really hitting me big time. I am obsessing with world events and thinking doomsday scenarios. it's only 13 days into citralopram so I am hoping it allows me to get a grip as I am turning into a nervous wreck! I did read that the meds will often make things worse before better so I am hoping that's all it is. Anyone had similar?

I tried going without citalopram the last few months. Probably came off them a little too fast but didn't have any effects. Started getting really ill again, and have started taking them again this week. Forgotten how bloody crap the side effects are for the first little while! Reading through here from others who are starting on them it sounds really familiar so that's good, just gonna push through it. The insomnia at night and sleepiness in the day is the worst, I love my sleep!

Anyone for any tips for citalopram side effects? Been a week and I know it gets better but the anxiety, lack of drive, losing appetite and sleep is killing me.

I am 16 days in mate, about a week without sides, after that my anxiety went through the ceiling and if I woke in the night I couldn't get back to sleep, also not much appetite. Fingers crossed , last few days the anxiety is dropping and I am sleeping better plus I have literally just devoured a portion of salt and pepper ribs plus a large box of chilli chicken udon noodles!!!!! Stick with it mate

The doc has switched me to mirtzapine. I feel like a zombie at the minute, hopefully they work though

Hello mate, thanks for asking. Ok really, gp 1 month review yesterday. I explained where I am at, anger levels have dropped but the anxiety stil there. He's doubled my dose from 20mg to 40mg daily. I am concerned that this may mean an increase in side effects but I guess it's worth it if it helps with these horrible, catastrophic thoughts! Last nights result didn't help!!

Keep going, as you'll know by now it's not an exact science and can take time / tweaking until they get it right x

It's been about 15 years since I've really had an 'issue' but I feel like I'm on the way to one. Issue doesn't mean I'm going to jump out of a building, just that I'm really in a spiral. And I honestly can't figure out why. 3 weeks ago I was blaring Christmas music singing obnoxiously on the top of my lungs with my lady annoying the crap out of her and now I'm at this point.

feel a bit better. Really struggle to wake up in the morning, and i do get angry easily but i think they are starting to work
