Why not both?

I applaud the way Moyes sets his teams up at home against the big sides, but when he goes out to play against weaker teams he acts all coy and ****, when we should be imposing ourselves.

While I accept the general point aht Moyes set his teams up well one thing that always annoyed me was the routine kow towing to Loser***te as if they were anything special.

There is a reason why his record against them is lamentable. He never tried to beat them. I'd understand if it was the powerhouse teams they had in times past....but psychological surrender to the teams of Kenny and Rodgers

Fellaini confirms the need for us to evolve to pro-active tactics:

It is a problem. Sometimes I look at myself and ask, 'What is my best position?' But I think it's a defensive midfielder, that's the best one. The manager might like it sometimes when I play up front because I can cause trouble for the defenders but for me my best position is defensive midfield, stopping the opposition and then looking to impose myself on a game.

When I play up front it's hard. It's not my position and I find it difficult. I've played in a few positions. Sometimes I've played well there. I understand why the manager might put me up there, because he wants me to cause trouble in the box for their defenders.

It has always bugged me this 451 ! He sets his team out not to lose and not to win, I understand that against the stronger team it needs to be done, this season how many draws could of been wins with a more positive tatcics

That's what happens when it's all about stopping the opposition, nullifying their strengths instead of worrying about your own game. Definitely need both!
