I have to say, he was immense tonight, albeit against a terrible side. His long passing was the best we've had for a while. A very, very impressive first start. Maladyets, maladyets!

Reminded me of Sheeds big style (i know they banged on about it on tv), great crosses, vision, deleivey, tidy long and short passing, defo a quality player - could also see him play centrally if im honest, but will be on the wing for now. Had to rub my eyes when i saw Everton with a bit of Width. Seems a good charicter to a lot of entusiasim, commitment and seems well respected by his teammates - we have a player here once he adjusts to the pace IMO. Theres more to come......................!

Worth noting how ace Pienaar was on the right to.

he can whip great corners in too, looks a great prospect and hope he can do it in the prem against the sky 4 and have lescott worried when we play city.:)

Atlast a player who can deliver a killer cross . His first touch is awsome as was his link up play with Baines who too played extremely well . Great pefromance .

I didn't watch all 93 minutes of the game, may have missed some of his first half endeavors, but I wished he had stayed on longer than when he went off early in the 2nd, not sure of what it actually was, groin strain or was that someone else. Sorry.

How depressing when Ossie took over taking corners and couldn't get it past the first man. I don't like the term but 'Missing you already' sprang to mind :(
