There's a teasing pic of the Mout on that website......I'd still love us to go for him too, ha
"Billy" looks a great player to me......Sign him please
I'd argue that Baines makes Pienaar look good and vice versa such is their partnership
If Bilyaletdinov plays wide-right, he'll float inside on his left as he is predominantly a lefty, meaning someone needs to overlap him a la Baines.
Neville or Hibbert?
bill ya dinner off

Lescott played behind Pienaar for most of his first season and he still looked good. If you've got ability I don't think it matters.
Hleb, Beneyoun, Arteta, Pienaar, Rosicky, Nasri, Arshavin etc have all reveled outwide despite being attacking midfielders.
And whilst Neville isn't as quick as Baines he still gets forward and gives his winger support. If Bilyaletdinov can keep hold of the ball like Pienaar does then Neville will get forward more.
And you can always interchange your wingers, I'm sure Bilyaletdinov (if he joins) would get time on both wings.
I'm not sure, I mean even Pienaar can be less than convincing down the left with Baines.
Rosicky, Nasri, Arshavin and Hleb are all exceptional players who play Arsenal's brand of football.
Bilyaletdinov will play Everton's brand of football... with Hibbert or Neville in support... it just doesn't compare.
) and a fit Arteta, once we get these players our football will improve dramatically. Posted via Mobile DeviceThanks for the sarcasm, i shall add it to the table. So far you are streets ahead of the rest. Unlikely to be caught unless Jeremy Clarkson decides to join.
Well I disagree with that to be honest. Pienaar is arguably one of the most effective wide players around, his assist record speaks for itself. Add that to his link up play and workrate and you've got quite a convincing wide player for me.
We will hopefully have Banega soon (hopefully) and a fit Arteta, once we get these players our football will improve dramatically.
I'm haven't seen the lad play so I'm not going to say he's going to be brilliant outwide for us but there's nothing wrong with playing an attacking midfielder outwide, alot of teams do it. Joe Cole at Chelsea, Niko Kranjcar at Portsmouth, Luka Modric at Spurs etc etc. The list goes on and on. Ashley Young's hardly a touch line hugging winger, he plays on the left and cuts inside onto his right foot alot of the time.
As I've said though, our formation is interchangeable and players swap positions. I'm sure Bilyaletdinov would get a chance wide right, wide left and possibly even in a more central position.
Fair enough, I would just feel a lot more comfortable with someone of Baines' ability aiding 'Billy' on the right, if he was to play there.
At the beginning of the summer we would have all agreed right-midfield and right-back were our priorities, we are not being linked with players who can naturally fill these positions, that's my worry.
Bringing a player in who is more natural on the left or in the centre and asking him to play right-wing is like filling square holes with round pegs.
