For those (most of us) who won't wanna click on a Sun link: alternative report from the Echo (actually is pretty much the same report, like most global news these days hundreds of news sites will copy/paste from the initial AP or Reuters report:

Hope he a) denounces the war, like that Russian singer did recently, although it takes a very brave Russian to speak up in the climate of repression.
b) gets captured early and later gets exchanged for dozens of Ukrainian heroes.
 
Desperation now. This isn't going to end well, sadly. No off ramp for Putin now. Once the annexation of Donbass is complete the dynamic of the conflict changes. Worries me what happens next.
They wont formally take in those independent-declared regions. That will be a bargaining chip in negotiations.

The Nord pipeline stuff is going to alienate an awful lot of people in western governments. It looks like a black ops event, and their energy supplies are uppermost in their minds. They'll be furious with the Ukrainians.

As for Bilyaletdinov: he's 37 and it'll be an admin balls up.
