I'd take it for 3rd place, then we wouldn't have to worry about qualifying stages. I don't really care about them lot though - I support Everton!

Looking at who we might have to play if we finish 4th - nope, never, no way - and that's not even thinking about putting up with them lording it all over the place and - in particular - in our face. We get someone like Inter Milan, say, and lose in the 4th Round of the Qualifiers and then we have to live it all over again. At least if we lose honourably and they can't rub our noses in the dirt will make it bearable.

The rules for the 4th Round Qualifiers is that "Champions meet Champions" and non-Champions meet non-Champions - given that we're likely to be unseeded should be qualify as 4th best that's going to be real tough as well. If we finish 3rd (or better) we are at least in the Group stages - tough though that is - and a chance of being ranked in the 3rd pot.

4th doesn't guarantee CL football, so no.

If it was us 3rd and the RS finishing first I'd take it though.

If I had a choice between 3rd (with the RS finishing first) or 5th (with the RS getting relegated), I"d pick the first option.
