Difficult autumn

When I look at the fixtures coming up in September and October, I've got a nagging feeling we're going to be struggling at the end of that time :

3 home games against Liverpool, Newcastle and Man U. Can't see us getting more than 3 or 4 points from that lot.

4 away games against Stoke, Hull, Arsenal and Bolton. Obviously this is where we need to be picking up points. But the Hull game's the only one I feel at all confident about. It sounds as though Osman may well miss the Stoke game, so once again the midfield will have a very makeshift look to it. Castillo will still be jetlagged, and may well start on the bench.

Even the derby game will probably be too soon for several of our injured players.

I fear it will take time, not only for our squad of crocks to regain full fitness, but also for the new players to adjust to the pace of the Premiership and for the likes of Lescott and Jagielka to play themselves back into the form that they showed last season.

Taking all this into account, it's far from inconceivable that by the end of October Everton will still be in the bottom 6 in the Premiership, out of the Carling Cup, and out of UEFA. That's a worst case scenario, and hopefully the team will pull through this difficult autumn through a determined attitude and showing the quality that we have. One thing's certain : unless we can find some form very quickly, we could be in for a long depressing season.

beat the geordies, beat the [Poor language removed], beat the mancs, beat the noblot its happy days

suppose we can dream

If we can get the team playing with anytyp of cohesion and as aunit we will be fine, Moyesy is one of the best innovitive coaches out there we should at the very least compeate and i personally expect to begin winning games.

When I saw the fixtures I believed that we could go into the derby with 15 points and top of the league. Shows what I know!

However........

We will beat Stoke and Hull, I'm sure. Standard Liege is a big worry but we have at least nicked their best player.

The derby may well hinge on how the newcomers on both sides cope with the occasion. The RS will have maybe 4 players in for the firsst time, Torres is doubtful, Clattenberg won't be reffing, Hibbert is injured and Neville won't be doubling up as a goalie, so maybe we can sneak a win.

Newcastle will be a stroll but we'll get stuffed by Man Utd because we always do. It's part of the deal that will take DM to Old Trafford when Fergie calls it a day, and I'm on at 20-1 with Betfair.

Shows what I know :lol::lol:Not on your own mate I was thinking on similar lines still it would not be Everton if t went according to plan think we will beat both Stoke and Liverpool and only lose to united.(y)

We are about to embark on a record breaking winning streak where we remain unbeaten for the remainder of the season - starting at Stoke !!!!!!
