Not sure if its been mentioned but a long time ago i remember being at Goodison vs West ham and our keeper (think it was paul gerrard ) at the time went down injured outside the box whilst clearing it , west ham carried on playing and crossed it to Di Canio but instead he caught the ball and demanded play be stopped. Since then i have had the upmost respect for him and was wondering if fellow blues will applaud him today?

The ball was going behind him and has two defenders within a yard of him, yet you'll see people repeatedly saying he stopped play "instead of scoring a certain goal".

haha to be fair i had not seen the replay of it , i was just recalling something i saw first hand all them years ago , just seen the video and it wasnt as good as i expected but still fair play to him
