I think I've realised over time that I brought a lot more to the team than I gave him credit for. The references stracqualursi makes to Neville in the article are great: that he was training with the U23s when the other players were on holiday, that he was the one trying to translate for the Spanish players. No wonder Moyes continued to put so much faith in him even though he seemed so limited on the pitch.
