Andrei Kanchelskis who was in my opinion Evertons best player (along with Tim Cahill) in the premier league era, was a Russian international as well.Although Andrei was of course from the Ukraine.

Is he worth a thread? Plenty well-sauced rumours about that Silva wants him and Denis is interested (marca.com is the original), and personally I'd love him here: proper player. It's true he hasn't set La Liga on fire and is sometimes injury-prone, but he's been decent playing a sizeable role in helping Villareal get regular top 6 for the past 3 seasons. Deffo a class above what we have in midfield, he's nominally a left-winger but is flexible enough to move inside if Richarlison settles there instead.
