My son and I settled both the Dempsey issue and tangentially the USA v Ireland issue. We played a tie using fifa world cup.
Results:
1. US would more easily qualify in europe than Ireland in concacf... US won 7-4 aggregate.
2. Everton should swerve Dempsey.... he scored none of the 7 and went missing in both matches.

A good player. On the negative side he'll be 29 in March. On the positive, I think he'll only have a year left on his deal in the summer and Jol has shown that he's prepared to let key men go. If Redknapp wants silly money for Pienaar, Dempsey could be a good alternative target.
