Don't need his constantly injured ass anywhere near the squad! Even if he gets 'fit', it'll only be a week or two until he's out again for a year. Not much of a risk to sell him even if Gay goes.

The next player in line is Schneiderlin, who can't move.
McCarthy at least brings some of the energy and grit needed in midfield.

One thing I do agree is it will take times to get rid of the deadwood, it’s difficult to sell them. And somehow this would affect Brands and Silva’s plan in transfer, of course.
