Its Kieran Dowell i feel sorry for rather the Davy.

Lad shipped of to Forest, when really we would have been better off not spending 25 million and hanging on to Dowell.

The Dowell loan has been brilliant for all involved I reckon. Exactly the type of loan deals we should be looking at. Funnily enough Forest fans will probably be saying similar regarding Jorge Grant who they have loaned out to Notts County who is also banging in the goals this season from a similar position to Dowell.

Fair point mate.

It has to be the biggest waste of money though in our history, even Sneiderthing is staring games. 25mill on a player who cant make the squad.

Happens to most clubs. Sometimes things just don't work out. Never know whats going on behind the scenes either.

i thought it was a poor signing at the time mate, he really was a poor choice and terribly bad value.

I sat and watched this guy in his last game - literally hiding from any opportunity to receive a pass. It was seriously embarrassing to watch - and it's not often we see that level of "please don't give me the ball" so it stuck in my mind.

I'm not sure what the issue is with Davy - but the captain of Ajax and at the final of the Europa last season, you'd have put money on being decent. Maybe the dutch leagues just aren't what they used to be?

I think the Dutch league is definitely weaker these days but Ajax reliably develops top players so I’m not sure that’s the issue. You have to think Davy’s confidence is shot, hope he has a chance to rebound and become a regular member of the the squad.

Feel sorry for him, he might be poor but it was our idea to bring him over, to do that and not play him is lame, even if he is crap

It's a mystery isn't it? Maybe he just hasn't settled in England. Uprooting can be unsettling. He could just be utterly demoralised and lacking in confidence given the shambles of his move / our season. Fair enough in some respects, the guy hasn't been given a clear role and was competing with siggy and Rooney for the same space on the pitch under Koeman. He might also not be up to scratch. The prem is an odd league - it is so focused on pace and power it can bypass technicians.
