2017/18 Davy Klaassen

Out of all our players I struggle to see where he’ll get the minutes. If Rooney is now a centre mid, which I hope he is, then Klaassen can rotate with Gylfi at #10 assuming Ross goes and Gylfi stops getting shoehorned out left.

Lot of ifs.
 

Klaassen should be the backup option at the number 8-type role that Davies is currently playing. He can also fill in for Wazza in his new CM role. In the MF bring Klaassen on for a goal, and Benni on if we're holding on to a lead. Besic on if we want someone's ankles slashed.
 
There's a player there, think he could still come good. Though maybe this league is just fractionally too quick for him. He could go to Italy, France and even Spain and look like a world beater again.

Thought he played well that half, couple of decent passes, set Ade away nicely for that chance when it was scoreless.

Looks like he's trying hard to impress.
 

Tonight has showed once and for all that he's not a number 10. He's a number 8, a player who keeps things ticking over in the midfield and assists the assistor for goals, much like Davies does. Tom's been in poor form the past few weeks and will need a break at some point. Hopefully we give Klaassen some minutes over the busy Christmas period rather than use crabs like Besic and McCarthy who should have gone ages ago.

There's a player there, it's clear as day. It would be a big shame if he doesn't get many more chances IN HIS PROPER POSITION.
 

hes had enough time now, he should of bossed this game from back to front tonight, you can see the level of opposition they are.

I'm afraid he has to go.

enough is enough, he simply isn't cut out for Everton.
