And with this level of support, can anyone really be shocked that Barkley wants to leave.

Christ, one distinctly average performance against a very mediocre Slovak side and people are already rating him above Barkley. Absolute nonsense and rather highlights why we have had a glut of these 'Farhard's Magnificent Men 9 months away from League title glory' threads that are already popping up
Barkley doesn't want to play for us anymore regardless. Get over him.

I know its very early days and don't want to come across as bedwetting but last night was disappointing not just the performance but the balance of the side was all wrong

This is the 2017 equivalent of 'we don't deserve anything nice' and 'some of our fanslol' that get used by people trying to put down reasonable debate.

Going against the hype doesn't make you a bedwetter or a bad fan. If anything, it marks you out as consistent and clear thinking.

Nonsense. Just saying his qualities are the opposite of Ross. There are clearly a lot of things Ross can do that Klaassen cant.

Football brain and quick passing are not those things.

But he is correct in what he said. Didn't see him rating Klaassen over Barkley he just stated a fact about his passing quickly.

You need to stay calm and accept Barkley has chosen not to want to play for us and you can index that.

Passing quickly is sometimes a result of not being able to hold onto the ball or carry it. He passes too much if anything. Haven't seen his stats for the game but I bet he was our top passer on the night.

Obviously we will miss barkley and will only get better as he gets older. Just a shame he doesn't want to play for us

The problem is, do we really need passing for passing's sake again? Not sure we need another Snivelley / McCarthy just tapping it sideways or backwards.

The amount of feather-light passes he made last night which left players short, someone is going to get injured

He carried the ball a few times and his quick passing helped speed the game up at times so I am not having that.

His passing quality wasn't there, I agree. He did well a couple of times with passes on the edge of the box but that was his only contribution. We just looked pedestrian last night and I think he was at the heart of that.

Sideway passing around the box? He shown he can do fast intricate passing in dangerous areas or are you choosing not to like the bloke or give him a chance. All the players are still in rusty mode and nearly every player did light, fallen short passes not just Klaassen. When he gets involved up front he switches to another gear and speeds up the passing and goes which when other players are on his wave length will result in chances.

Wayne Rooney gave up on him ten mins into the second half and went deeper and deeper to get the ball; he didn't trust Klaassen to link the play between midfield and attack. Essentially, the whole team bypassed him in the last twenty minutes and we went on the attack more and more.

He just doesn't seem to do anything that Davies wasn't already doing for £24m less. Feels a bit of a vanity purchase.

Stop talking wham or you are just being a wum. 'Rooney gave up on him' lol.

Listen lads he's crap pure and simple
A no mark from a gash league
We should have played Naisse last night
Naisse has untapped potential if we could just see it.
How do I know this
Because one was signed by a big headed Dutch egotist who thinks because he played for Batcelonas dream team and won a European cup that he knows about football and the other was signed by a satorically elegant and fulsome praiser who blustered his way through 3 seasons

Isn't that basically correct @davek
