It's hard for some to see the value of a guy with a high footballing IQ (Klaassen) vs a guy with bucketloads of talent with no Footballing IQ (Barkley)

Funny about that. I started playing a career mode in FIFA where I only control my player and not the whole team. Right off the bat I noticed how hard it was to be an effective attacking player. Just staying onside is tricky enough. Then you have to figure out where to find space for yourself, how to pass and move, how to free up your teammates, and of course create chances and score goals. I instantly knew nothing about the game again and it was fascinating.

However I find it very hard to take any person over the age of 21 who publicly admits to playing FIFA seriously and with any level of gravity

It showed how much Klaassen actually did (or not did) in that Stoke game when that run to take out 2 defenders was the only thing anyone remembered.
