After watching his highlights for Ajax it could be all good if they find a balance with Rooney. Wayne dropping deep, Klaassen making the runs forward could cause a havoc. Maybe that's the Koeman plan.

Definitely a surprise to spend 25 million on a player, then proceed to buy another two who play in exactly the same position!

HUGE game for Davy this evening.

Even as one of his strongest advocates (see thread sponsorship) I am concerned by his lackluster start to the season. It's probably forced Koeman into buying Iceland a season earlier than planned - needs to prove he isn't a mistake that has essentially cost the club £70m.

I believe he can do it.

Completely agree it's worth experimenting with, on the proviso that for no reason should Davies not be tried there first
