This is the second loan we have been linked to Besiktas with, Oyekru being the other. I really hope it is all in order to get Ozkayup to come to us.

lol "Cute"

You've provided one example of a player who didn't impress (one manager btw, not two different managers) but then he turns out to be good. Just because of this one example doesn't mean we should now assume a player is good, in spite of managers not thinking they're good enough.

And it's not just the managers, it's the fans. Most people on this forum alone think he's been quite ineffective in the games he's played (inb4 excuses about position). There are a few who want him given a chance, but that's it, a chance. What I said still stands.
Oh, now that you've been called out you are choosing to respond to the argument, good!

Lets get to brass tacks. First, false, Lookman didnt impress both managers, not just one. Hes been here for more than a year if you might recall, if you follow this team. So that proves that because a player does not impress both of those managers doesnt mean they arent good. Second, now we have 2 players who HAVE impressed both managers but are very bad players. This again proves that how impressed or not impressed Koeman and BFS were with a player did not mean they were actually good.

Third, rather than learn from your fallacy(from the Argument from Authority), you double down on it and now make fans out to also be authorities who are all wise and would not discount players unless they were worthy of it. This is even worse because it ignores how many fans on here loathed Lukaku, hated Coleman when he first started playing for us, and said Niasse would never play for us again.

Nothing you said stands, because it was a ridiculous thing to say, but I see you are determined to dig your hole deeper and deeper than admit it.

Called out for saying it's not looking good for Klaassen lol You're too funny. Show me exactly what I said that was wrong, and explain exactly how it's wrong. For convenience, I've quoted my first comment below this reply.

It's not an appeal to authority if those being cited are actual authorities. And, I'd consider managers to be the best authorities to cite when discussing a player's ability. It's also not an argument from authority, because I didn't claim that it was definitely the case that they're right, did I? There are other reasons as to why it's not fallacious... You can disagree with the premises, but if you're going to call out logical fallacies on grand old team dot com, professor, at least make sure you understand it. Oh, and please don't bring up a handful of examples, because I'm sure you're aware that's just not good when you're looking at something statistically. Managers do get things wrong, any dork knows that, but I'd speculate that they get it right more often than not - it's their job, you know?

Anyway, unless you can provide an objective measure of determining whether a player is good, please hush your gums, fanks. :D Oh, and for love of god, don't be that guy who attempts to call out logical fallacies on a football fan forum. lol lol lol

I don't know... He's definitely failed to impress two different managers while he's been here. It's not looking good, despite all of the optimism.

I personally would like to see him given a chance. You don’t become a bad player overnight. Give him a season playing regularly and then, if he isn’t up to it, move him on. My feeling is he hasn’t been given anywhere near the opportunities that some others have had (morgan and Williams) yet they have been useless.
The worry is that 2 very different managers have looked at him and deemed him not even good enough for the matchday squad.
When I saw him at Ajax I thought he would be great for us.
Perhaps he just doesn't have the physicality to play in the prem.

I thought he was out of contract.

Be typical Everton though. Strike a dral on these 2. Then its how about Ozkayap?. Oh he"s gone mate. Contract expired last week.

Think he is signing a new deal so the club get a fee isn't he? That was the rumour anyway

There is a player in there somewhere, someone said about Klassen. After reading the above I thought I would get the tread back to the subject, Klassen. Wonder if Marco will find a player in there somewhere and justify all the Klassen fans?
