Still think he will do well here but he has to find some edge to his game. Far far too soft in the challenge and needs to toughen up.

He needs to find that half a yard quickly. With the type of player he is it's integral to his game. Without it he won't get himself into scoring positions which is surely why we bought him.

Hoping he can get off the mark tonight. Might give him the confidence to be more imposing in future games. Considering Koeman supposedly really wanted him and he came with no fitness problems I'm surprised he's only done 90 mins once in the 6 games he's featured.

Thing with Davey though is he has only ever played the ajax way really. To take him from there (a technical team) and dump in hoof central.. Were we really expecting him to change that quickly. Give him time.... Personally I feel he has the quick mindedness of a Pienaar type... I would try him in the very same position.. Before anyone pipes up with 'he' s not a winger tho'.... I simply mean to try him there.

Paredes was available for the same price though. Sigh.

(Actually think Klaassen is a solid player, just a pointless addition to the squad)

I'm not surprised he's not doing well

He has no striker to assist too

And he's playing with two other players in the same position!

If we just played one number 10, had a target man and used wingers we would see a much better player

However for some reason Koeman won't learn that 3x number tens isn't working!!
We could always play Mason Holgate instead of three number tens (see what I did there?)

I think there's a really good player there, but at the moment he looks very unsuited to what we need. Klaassen and Koeman need to adapt to get the best from him here. You can see the football brain, almost every pass is first time and his movement is great, but he's weak, becomes half the player when he has to take a few touches and our lack of attacking threat has meant we've seen next to none of his biggest strength, that ability to ghost into the area and get on the end of things

He'd probably be great for Arsenal or someone like that

Koeman needs to decide who to build a team around. rooney, klassen or gylfi.

impossible to build a team around all three
