If this is true I will be sad to see him leave, thank him for all the great work that he has done .....and wish him every success at his new club.

Once a blue always a blue.

Ironic then isn’t it that fat Sams finest moment to date owed everything to Unsworth’s training, team selection and in game management ?. Course everything else was down to Gravy boy.
And Southampton away? It was obvious from the training incident when two of our less than bothered squad either walked (or were told to) that the players had no respect for him.

Or it was obvious that two of our players were exposed as two rather petulant and petty characters. Thankfully one has gone and the other will doubtless follow him at the end of the season.
Another salient point here is the situation that arose because of the utter ineptitude of the board. They peremptorily sacked a manager while apparently having little clue what to do next. Having then seemingly decided to give Unsworth an extended try out , they should have actually had the guts to appoint him as coach officially and reinforced his authority. This needn’t have precluded relieving him at a future date if necessary.

What's the story with Ledson and Unsworth?

Oxford fans appear to 50/50 with the possible appointment. A lot judging him on has run with yourself earlier in the season.

The u23 play great togger, high pressure fast paced on the deck. He walked into an utter [Poor language removed] storm at us, didn’t have time to implement his ways and had a bunch of gutless tossers.

He was probably to close to some of the first teamers which probably didn’t help. It’ll take sometime so don’t expect an instant upturn

But I’d have him over this fat slob any day

I think he will be a really good appointment mate. His stint in charge was disastrous but his record with young players is remarkable. We have never had so many players come through as under his management. He makes young players better.

Re Ledson and him, not sure but it never seemed right. He went from a 16 year old who was captain of the reserves to a lad not getting a game. Lots of rumours. Hope Ledson is kicking on with you guys.

If you get Unsworth, you will be lots of Evertonians second team, so you will need to stick around!

He walked into the managers job here at the wrong time. We were in a mess, the team had no shape, lacked a centre-forward, was short on confidence and was trying to gel with about 7/8 new players trying to settle in. An experienced manager would have struggled with the job he had.

Judge him on how he’s done with the under 23’s. They play good stuff, won the league last year and he’s helped to bring through the likes of Kenny, Davies, Calvert-Lewin & Beningime, as well as a number of lads who are making a name for themselves in the lower divisions.

He’s a good coach, we’ll respcted here. Hopefully he gets the job & proves himself. I think he’d be a great appointment for youse.

Don't judge him on that, it was the guy before him and the poor recruitment that lead to the poor run. He had v little time to turn it around.
