Thats two shots more than Koeman was achieving - thats why he was sacked, and walsh should have been sacked with him wasting all that cah we were the 5th highest spenders in the prem- to become relegation contenders?
Unsworths had a go - 4 points more than RK would have achieved imo!
also any potential manager watching us play and all the players that have been on display may put them off other than mercenary Managers who just want big money!
Is that the reason why their is a delay no one wants the job it's a poisoned chalice??????

It's not - as we've shown you before, we're actually taking LESS shots under 'front foot' Unsy.

Walsh should be sacked - yep agreed. If he is the DoF, even if he wasn't overseeing signings (he was) his entire job is to create a football environment where if the head coach is sacked, there is a transitional plan in place and a style of football that can be adopted by the other coaches. Clearly hasn't managed it.

I reckon the delay is due to the chaos at the top. You've got Kenwright's mates blaming Moshiri every day, just look at the last two articles by that joke of a journalist Dave Prentice.

Dave Prentice has a habit of putting the boot in - ask Joe Royle - he banned Prentice from the training ground - he is full of crap married to a relation of the great Dixie Dean thinks he it - he has a history of putting the boot in as for Unsy in the prem he has got us 4 points imo 4 more than koeman would have achieved we were barely getting over the halfway line -
I agree now Unsy has had his chance and needs replacing the squad is deficient in so many ways we need a new manager ASAP - remember Orly like me you thought Unsy should have a chance to see if he could step up - Unfortunately with that squad he is not experienced enough to do the job the squad is deficient atm - we have players to come back, and need a good manager to step up not a mercenary like Koeman who prefered the golf course!

I have to agree. I appreciate Koeman left him with a very unbalanced team and he was the logical choice to take over whilst the club found a new manager but our performances have gotten so much worse and I didn’t think that was possible. We're being played off the park by the likes of Palace and Southampton, He’s picking the same dross like Mirallas who consistently show they aren’t good enough, Can't retain possession, can't defend, no attacking threat, no control in midfield, players running around like headless chicken out of position chasing shadows.... Yes the quality of some of the players we have are poor (although on paper our squad should be much better than they're showing) but the setup is making it worse. I do feel for Unsworth, he's been left in this position for far too long by the club to the point he is now part of the problem. We're going into our 6th week without a proper manager and there’s been no official statement from the club or sign that is going to change any time soon. The poor guy is the only one facing the media and answering questions week in week out - that's how the board have repaid him for his services to the club – thrown him to the wolves. His rep from the Under 23's would have got him a decent League 1/maybe Championship level club but not now.
We don’t have anything at the minute, nothing to build on. This mess is Mis-management from the top but Unsworth is responsible for the nosedive in recent weeks.

Maybe he is not up to the job that's the boards decision if he fails then have a new manager in place FIVE WEEKS of a wait - announcements via Jim White - not good enough!

I agree to a point a Joey. Moshiri needs to do communication via the official networks, not Jim White it is embarrassing. When Koeman was booted I would have imagined that his successor had already agreed to come in, within days. There has been no benefit in sacking Koeman and replacing him with an inept manager who needed guidance or advise from Royle at the weekend.

Unsworth should never have been given the job for more than one game, it should have been Chelsea in the cup with the new man already in place and watching from the stands. Unsworth is not good enough

The old boys network needs to be demolished. Starting with Kenwright, Woods and elstone right through to Jeffers

Prentice is an utter ratbag who long, long ago hooked his wagon to Kenwright. He's a complete weapon.

I'm not so convinced re. Koeman not getting those 4 points. He won got 6 points from the same games last season so there is no real improvement on that. I think they'd have done much the same.

I thought Unsy should either get it permanently or not at all, to avoid the situation we are now in where we will be looking for a new manager and possibly a new U23 coach as his confidence and motivation will likely be obliterated. If Royle is still weirdly hanging around the club, they should perhaps have given it to him for 2-3 games. I don't really know, but Unsworth just wasn't the answer, and when he caved in to Mirallas / Schneiderlin he fatally undermined his position as a leader for the team and also the confidence the fans had in him. All talk, no real mettle. Like yesteday, he only bothered to show anything when we scored, and then it was all that miserable chest bumping crap.

The moment Royal came down and had a word in Unsworths ear completely destroyed it all for me...

Completely undermined getting advice from someone who isnt the manager... Love Joe but shouldn't he be out watching the young players on loan, instead of coming to the dugout to give advice or tell Unsworth what to do.

Its all a joke mate.

Hindsight from you again orly you supported Unsworth to be given a chance oh by the way koeman never won away from home its nearly 12 months we won away - By the way last year's match v Southampton away we got beat 3-0 not managing to score!

I'm sure when Unsworth got the caretaker role it was mentioned that Royle would be playing a part by advising him.

Joe, I've literally said in the post you replied to:

I thought Unsy should either get it permanently or not at all, to avoid the situation we are now in where we will be looking for a new manager and possibly a new U23 coach as his confidence and motivation will likely be obliterated.

I've said about giving him the undisputed chance.

Koeman won away at Palace. But where you are right is that he drew at home to Watford. He then of course only lost 3 of the next 16 matches. I think we are at 11 losses for the season already, with 5 of them for Unsy.

I remember that after Martinez, but it just feels wrong. Apparently Joe comes down the changies at half time every game - I wonder who gives the team talk or tactics because even after half time we are still set up wrong.

You would think that having, Royal, Unsworth, Ebbrell and Dunc in the changies that there would be a bit of a rocket put up the players behinds about what it means playing for this club.

The players aren't playing for Unsy, thats clear - they are enjoying the piggy back relays though.
