David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

He's not starting Williams and called the subs right for me yesterday. Koeman left all the players confidence shattered and we were not even battling. We would of lost both of the last 2 games with him there so let's give Rhino a bit of credit . I don't think he is yet the long term solution but for me better than some of the names being put about . At least we are getting some points and scoring goals .... the good football is a bit away but for now I'll take points !

There has been. If we'd conceded two against Watford or Palace with Koeman still as manager, the players would have just given up. At least under Unsy we haven't completely collapsed. There's at least a bit more effort being put in, even though the performances are still abysmal for the most part.
Agree and we've scored 5 goals in last two games, under Koeman we scored 5 goals in last 4 league games. Previously we weren't scoring and conceding, we're now scoring but still conceding. It'll take a while to sort the defence out with the state that Koeman left it in.

I don't think the players would've gave up tbh, even against Lyon they were still rallying to try and get back in the game. I don't really think the effort has been an issue this year (give or take one or two obvious culprits), we are just playing badly.

The Watford and Palace games are very much akin to the Bournemouth and Brighton games. Very similar in fact. Bailed out by penalties.

Truth is we have a load of players either in poor form, not good enough, or way past their best, and no manager is gonna make them play especially well.

Koeman played a different team every week ... at least Keane has a chance now to settle and Kenny played well yesterday .. can name the back 4 for next week now for probably the first time this season ... it not great I agree but it's better !

I think solely down to starting Niasse tbh.
You may be right. But that justifies booting Koeman out alone.

Unsworth is doing a decent job so far. He isn’t working miracles but there is a lot more energy and balance in the team and I agree with most of his selection decisions.

Some fans are going way over the top in their negativity towards Unsworth.

That’s just rubbish really. Koeman didn’t lose a game to a team outside the top 7 this season.
Burnley were 9th when we played them and we only played 1 team outside the top 7 away from home. If you look at our form at home we're 10th, bottom 3 away. The big problem is our away form.

Depends which way you're looking at it really. I think a lot of fans are way over the top in their support of Unsworth.

I've been at all games under Unsworth's management and in my opinion there has been zero improvement. We've been very lucky to come away with points in the past two games and the team selection and performances against Leicester and Lyon were abysmal. Lyon in particular was a disgrace.

He's way out of his depth and the board need to act quickly. Leaving him in charge for an extended period is a very dangerous game.

He was resting players against Lyon. I agreed with that.
