David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

Absolutely no way should he be given the job. Today was another abysmal performance for 90% of the game.

He took over from a failed manager and proceeded to stick with the tactics, formation and strategy that got that manager sacked.

His promotion of Beni has, in my opinion been overshadowed by his persistence with Rooney.

Stick with the kids rhino

Sadly I can tell you a whole load of the summer buys were Walsh ones.
Unfortunately I know they were. As much as I would like it to be otherwise I think only Martina, Sigurdsson and Giroud (if we got him) were Koeman signings.

Koeman doesn't work hard enough plus I doubt he even watches that much football to have much of an input otherwise.

Forget the cup games and look at the league: Unsy's got 1 loss and 1 win, and the win has just happened in dramatic fashion.

This could be the catalyst we desperately need. I honestly would give him the rest of the season and then take it from there. Am confident now we won't get in a relegation battle.

He said after the game he hasn't been told anything by the board as regards his future which I find utterly shocking.
Why do you find that shocking? People say you shouldn't change a team after a win.

Most here want to change the manager just when we might be getting a little momentum.

Which is why leaving the manager decision until the summer when we have time to line someone up who can do the job for the next 3 years is so important. If we go for Dyche we are going to be faced with a Sean Dyche team for the foreseeable.

One more win and we are comfortably mid-table. We don't need to hit that particular panic button right now.
Thing is Liam we are talking on the back of a very lucky win against an at best mid table side.We have to be realistic for the future, taking on a manager with no Prem experience is a huge risk, and some of the names being mentioned who have and have been successful (Ancelotti,Pellegrini etc) did it with ready made squads.Ours right now is a mess.

We also have literally no idea how he’d do in a transfer window.

we had no idea how Koeman would do in transfer market yet we let him spunk £200 million. The simple answer to this is we let Walsh actually do the job which is what we should have done instead of giving the Dutch clown full control.

He has no choice but to stick with the players at his disposal, and drag in some younger players who are, embarrassingly, way better than the senior players. To suggest that he has stuck with the tactics and formation though is, clearly, fake news.

Well we did have a clue. Because he’d managed teams in transfer windows before.
