Just watched that press conference, he wasnt as upbeat as the other day, he mentioned he had spoken to Farhad and I think hes been told he has ZERO chance of getting the job, interesting.
Ha Ha Ha.

If it was bad news for Unsworth it wouldnt be at a face to face meeting with that divvy Moshiri. He's already proven he doesn't do the one to one breaking of bad news

Lol a bit of wumming here I think, he was late and in a rush is all.

Was still very positive

Hes clearly been told we are looking elsewhere.

I am a people expert.

I wasnt trying to be negative, I was just giving my viewpoint, last time out he was very bullish about getting the job, today I felt he was very restrained, just my interpretation thats all.

I like the way he talks, so not having a pop at the fella at all.

tbf he hired the wrong man, but he sacked him when needed...kenwright would have waitied till december at least

I dont think he hired the wrong man.

Koeman really isnt a bad manager, hes a multi-trophy winner who has maintained a top half finish in each of his seasons in this league, not many have done that.

We saw what he was capable of last season, but sadly this season he wasnt backed in the summer window and he was left with trying to get results till January, I wouldnt be surprised if we didnt wait till January before appointing somebody cos anybody with any sense can see we will really, really struggle for results till we can take the field with an actual real life Striker.

Sure we will grind out the odd results here and there, but we cant compete, at all.

Four points from the next six available and that caretaker role is going to extend past the international break.

We are desperate for someone to just slam the hand brake on and stop the roll back. It's all about stabilising now.

I said all along: get rid of that clueless Dutchman and then hand Unsworth the role with the message he gets the job end of the season if he gets us to midtable. The players want him as their boss. No question of that.

The alternative is hiring some other face from outside and the Anarcho-Syndicalist group AKA the Everton squad possibly start another revolt...and then we ARE in a mess.

Your choice Toffee.

I just want us to appoint a football manager Dave, not a cone layer.

Come on Dave.
Can you imagine how good Bill is at breaking bad news ?
Be tears, Dave Hickson, Betty off Corrie all mentioned..
You leave his office feeling great, only half way down the road would it click that you've been had off.

I almost wonder if Koemans undoing wasnt his having control over player acquisition. At Southhampton he did well but they were so busy shipping out players he just had to work with what he had. Here he had full control to build his team, and ended up building an unbalanced side. That and the missing striker was his undoing. We need to aim for a manager who has shown when given money and free reign he can build a top side.

I think Unsworths day may come, I just think it may be at a later date.

Got the impression from that presser that Gueye will start at the weekend.

I can see either;

Pickford
Kenney-----Keane---Jags-----Baines
Gueye
Davies----Rooney
Vlasic-----------------------Mirallas
DCL
Or:

Pickford
Kenney-----Keane---Jags-----Baines
Gueye----Davies
Vlasic--------Sigurdsson-------Mirallas
DCL
Subs:

Joel
Holgate
McCarthy/Schneid
Rooney/Sig
Lennon
Lookman
Niasse
