David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

Ancelotti would be much more comparable, he's won honours pretty much wherever he's gone. I think Ancelotti is a bit of a pipe dream though - just cannot see someone of his calibre taking on the manager's job of plucky Everton. His wages and transfer budget demands would make Moshiri's eyes water too lol
My post was more about how ambitious is the board... I don't think Ancelotti will be good fit nor do I think Tuchel is(lower level).

Chelsea wanted to go places and went after a CL winning coach... If the club want to survive it has to start making bold moves. Who knows Tuchel might be it or some guy I know nothing about..but shouldn't shy away from sounding top managers.

Ironically they won the champions league with the manager with what you would imagine to have the least pedigree to be able to do so.

Our season is fairly shot to sh.. I would be tempted to let Unsworth take whatever is left unless we are still flirting with relegation or we get the opportunity to appoint someone who you just can't turn down.

That way least we would have given the Unsy experiment time to see what he can do, if he gets replaced after 4 to 8 games with a decent winning record then as soon as the new bloke has a bad sequence of results I can foresee 'Team Rhino' creating a rift and making it harder for anyone else to succeed.

Agreed..It's a tricky one. The board will have to stick with him for now if he shows he knows what he's doing...The great thing about him, it won't take much to get the fans united behind him.
I hope he doesn't make the mistake of showing too much respect to the senior player. It's an opportunity for him to make his mark and show what direction the club should be heading. It's a Saturday Afternoon Live Audition.

What are our chances that one of these world class coaches also get Everton.

They seems like the key indicators that we want.
Being out of work for 3 years as manager is a lifetime. With the right project and backing they'll always listen? It's all about the right offer.
45m net spent would have attracted quite a few top Johnny Foreigners.. Only problem, the board might want to curb the spending for now.
