David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

Tactics were bad - my lord, high line against those guys, but the teamsheet was the problem. Rooney still has much to offer, but he's far and away our best striker. DCL simply isn't EPL quality at this point. He makes some solid plays, but he cannot score. But to not play Siggurdsson, my heavens. If we are going to get out of this hole, he's gotta be a big part of it.

And then the subs. Beni? If you like him that much, start him. Oumar was also just shocking. Shocking. But to sub off Mirallas, come on. You also don't bring Siggurdsson on until 70+ minutes? Then you take Rooney off? We could've played 200 more minutes and not scored with that team on the pitch against those CBs.

The fact he brought for Baningime on ahead of Sigurdsson or Scheinderlin at half time just says to me that he isn't ready or right for this.

I don’t think he is ready to be the manager of such a big club just yet. He changed it at half time but we should have these problems sorted before kick off. I couldn’t believe he didn’t play Keane, I know he hasn’t played well but he is quicker then Williams and jags. We need someone like Tuchel to come in and it’s needed now rather then after the internationals in my opinion.

He's this teams Mikael Madar.

Serious concerns over his bullish word about going out to win. That should go without saying.

But perhaps a few words about not losing wouldn’t go amiss either. It’s fairly obvious how Leicester play. They’ve been doing the same thing for about 4 seasons.

Today’s line up was purely focused on how we would try and play with no thought on how the opposition play. Davies and Gana especially left horribly exposed.

Everton caretaker boss David Unsworth: "The second half was much better. We gave them a two-goal start - in the first half we didn't perform. Our display was much better after the break.

"The best tactics I thought was with a diamond and two strikers. Aaron Lennon did OK in the first half and Kevin Mirallas couldn't get into the game. I wanted to be brave and positive in the first half.

"I went with the best team to try to win a game of football. The first half wasn't acceptable, but the second half we didn't get the rewards that our dominance justified.

"Whoever gets the honour of being Everton boss, including me, needs time with this set of players."

Brave and positive in the first half?

Mirallas not in the game?

Dominance?

Then ends it on a desperate, pick-me-cos-I'm-Blue cliche
