David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

lollollol So basically you’re rating his future transfer dealings on absolutely nothing! As I said before it’s just a cheap shot.
To be honest I can’t see many decent players choosing to sign for a club who will be mired in the relegation battle and are being managed by the little known former youth team coach, who is only there because we couldn’t attract anyone better. Seriously can you?

This all depends on how the next three Premier League games go. Bad results and there's not a chance we can commit to having him until May.

Decent results with the prospect of Coleman returning and a striker being signed in January could see him keep it I guess.
I fully agree. But another 4 point haul from 6 will confirm him on place.

...although I dont believe that's that with the Silva situation...not by a long chalk.

The Silva situation will be resolved when the board don't think Unsworth can be relied upon to keep us in the league. I think they're happy to see this one play out providing we pick up points.

The point made by poster was that he had no confidence in Unsworth and Walsh being able to identify suitable players to sign. It was based on absolutely nothing.

With regard to signing players I always think it’s problematical signing players when you’ve got a temporary manager. In saying that I think there’s a fair few players who’ll still jump at a chance to play in the Premier League for Everton.

With regard to being mired in a relegation struggle we’ll have to see if that is the case when the transfer window opens. If we are then that will make it harder.

I think that given the World Cup coming round it maybe possible to pick up a few decent loans if players are needing to play to make sure they make the World Cup squad.

Our defence is shocking at the minute and unsworths first opportunity to have a full week with the players (if hes our manager) is january.
Any manager would find it difficult to coach players into not being crap when they dont have the time to do it.
Allardyce took 8 games last season before they started they started clicking and the 7th game they got beat 4-0 by sunderland!
I really dont think its necessarily doom and gloom if unsworth gets the role for longer. Who knows though, we may continue to be crap only time will tell.

Yep, I think they're prepared to let the line out and then reel it in later.
