I'm of similar opinion, but - how do you know mate?

Personally I don't, so I'm willing to give him a chance.

He will be given a chance. Unless we win our next 5 games with a goal difference of at least +10, he should not get the job full time. Like you I don't know, but I do know the PL is NOT the same as the U23's, even more so as we are at the bottom of the PL!

Do I like Unsy, yes you bet I do, but right now he is being primed for PL management but far into the future.

Tuchel or Ancelotti for me NOW please.

Previous managers philosophies have been ‘the result isn’t important’ and ‘but ok, thish ish football’.

Now we have someone who will at least try hard.
Yep. I love Rhino and all of those 90's players. His inexperience at this level is my concern. But I'm not saying he can't do it.

We will never, save from an actual miracle, win all 5 games with a +10 goal difference.

Unrealistic expectations is what's happening here. Also "we're bottom, but I want Ancelotti" sounds insane, as I'm sure you're well aware.

No one can accuse him of not getting Everton. If anyone does then they need to go and lie down in a dark room

‘Mon the rhino....

We expect to win every game were Everton Football Club. One thing you can be sure of is that Unsy will send out a team, that will play with some fight and a team that will have fire in their bellies.Even just that on it's own will be a massive improvement on what we had to endure with Koeman these past few months.Im really looking forward to the next game now.Who knows Unsy might do so well, he'll have to be given the job on a permanent basis.

..i’d imagine the conversation with Unsworth asking him to take temporary charge was not straightforward. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s made demands, perhaps financial but more specifically about wanting the permanent post. If he’s been asked to take temporary charge until they bring somebody else in I wouldn’t be surprised if Unsworth said no.

The demands might be that he wants a run of games to prove himself.
I think you're right and I hope he has done that because it will show that he's serious about the job and single minded enough to do it. I think it's a bit of a nightmare start, no time to prepare and three away games on the bounce, so he's going to need a bit of time to get us organised and playing. Good luck Unsworth ;)

Why not? Have you seen our opponents? We should be beating ALL those teams at least 2-0 (Im not counting the Chelsea game).

And I do not think me wanting Ancelotti insane, I want what is best for our football club, and that is definitely NOT Unsworth at this point in time.

Agree.

To be fair he could improve it by playing players in their correct position alone.

So, disregarding Chelsea, you expect us to beat Atalanta and Lyon too? Honestly can't see it happening in the league too, as there are no easy win games in the PL.

Also you want him to be given a chance but his chance is instant and without the actual chance part - him having to get to know the players a bit?

Its a massive no from me i'm afraid............there is a large swell of fans who think Unsworth is akin to the 'second coming'. Under 23 football is piss poor and not even close to league 2 football. Big risk if we appointed Unsworth.
A lot of fans love the 'he's one of us' statements but this job too big too soon for him.
Bottom 3 now, this needs a man with experience otherwise we could be in real trouble come next year.

Prime example here of why we Evertonians don't deserve nice things.

No, I mean just league games. And you know that's what I mean.

Im sorry, I just can not see Unsworth getting us high up the table, attracting players in January (that will be hard enough for the best of them, 100 times harder for an untried, inexperienced interim manager). And can you see him getting us into the top 4 next season, or even winning a cup? I Cant. And of course no manager would guarantee success. But I know who I have more confidence in, and its a MUCH more experienced manager than Unsworth.
