If anyone has actually read the Mirror article, there's no quotes and not even a mysterious reference to unknown "sources". Seems like total speculation.

I do wish he'd just take the Scotland job to definitively get him out of the picture. Whilst he's available and we're doing terribly this kind of link is going to keep occurring.

I truly hope so mate.

He's climbing up the odds with the bookmakers though.

I'm sure he was favourite at one point before RK got the job. And Martin O'Neil was also odds-on for the job.

Them manger markets are bent as anything, most have a different favourite every week.

Like the other poster said, do the echo really know anything. How did Niang's medical go? And have the mirror ever got anything right about us.

Phase 1: Denial.
...

He's the missing piece to the reformed puzzle.

I don't share much of the hate for Moyes and could see a role for him back at the club but not sure it should be as a first team manager.

He did build the background playing side of the club up whole here. Scouting, presence, facilities, our academy and our recruitment were all overhauled and improved under him. He also had high standards he kept people too. What becomes clear at other clubs is the above strengths in many ways masked the weakness he had at managing on the training field.

This is all fanciful as it won't happen under the current leadership, but I'd happily have him in a more strategic role if the responsibilities of a CEO were split (which would make sense). I'm not entirely sure Walsh is comfortable being DOF and may be far happier as head scout/head of recruitment.

Hell no. But if they must can they please get rid before the 3rd season Disaster and the selling of our best player (whoever that might be - give us a clue please)
