2025/26 David Moyes

I agree. Moyes set up and tactics first half was really poor. But he got them to come out and play a hell of a lot better on second half and we looked pretty comfortable.

But the players switched off for both their second half goals.

Moyes bottled first half but the players switched off twice and bottled the second half.

The only sub I don’t agree with is alcaraz. That’s when Armstrong should have come on.
You know, I'm no fan of Moyes - but I am not even in blame mode tonight. I am just so shattered from us - yet again - blowing any bit of glory we can get from this bent sport. Collectively, we are unable to seize ANY moment. We need a purge.

What else do I have left except hope we eventually stop being what you rightly describe and start taking the game to teams more often and stop being such small time frauds.
But we blew it again tonight - from 3-1 up. We'll only start taking games to good sides when we have better players and a better manager. And we'll only have them when we have competent, ambitious owners.

I wouldn't hold my breath, but would love to be wrong.

Tactics worked well overall. Restricted them to very little while Everton looked dangerous on the break.

Officials really cost the game.

Don’t even need heavy analysis on the manager I think, if the players did their job and had a brain in the final minutes of the last few games, we’d be 6th, which could be champions league.

Down 4 points in the last 3 and has nothing to do with the manager. Players need to be responsible in these situations, Moyes isn’t the one not clearing the ball.
It has everything to do with the manager he picks the team, the tactics

He could have gone for lpool he never

He didn’t need to bring charlie on or a rb who hasn’t played in weekd

Can you two stop banging on about Dyche? Its boring/tedious. Let it go. People are wanting to read opinion on Moyes/post match discussion - not what someone said about Dyche years ago.
It would be nice to see a wider conversation about Moyes other than the same dozen posters making circular arguments in slightly different ways monopolising the thread without giving an inch. That’s me and 11 others like, thread ban us all please gaffer.

I know we blew it, I am disappointed too and in the manner of it especially first half which was cowardice.

Agree mate its a moderating fail. We need to step it up and leg it for next season.

We had a purge and let 10 players go and got rid of the decision makers like thelwell etc. But unless we literally scrap all but about 5 players and scrap the full set up from kit man to Angus Kinnear, then it’s always more of the same. (As shown by resigning Keane and the shouts for jobs for the boys for Coleman to get a coaching role etc or shouts for a new manager but only ones with PL experience).

I’d happily see TFG get rid of the lot apart from Pickford, Branthwaite, Garner, KDH and Ndiaye and start again.

And when I say the lot, I mean the entire club from Kinnear down.

Maybe keep Patto as well. He deserves a fair chance.
