Same 11 will start vs city, except Beto will be back for Barry - that’s the change Davey will make.

Might have a decent spell for 10-20 mins, but will concede soft goal or goals.

Gone from the last 3-4 seasons at the bottom end, 2 of them literally last game to stay up, to straight being comfortably midtable, near Europe, knowing full well the squads lacking...

...And its not good enough.

We know whats lacking. If Moyes gets what the team and he needs and THEN fails...then its time to look on.

Meanwhile. Its his first full season back and we've done well from where we were.

As people have already mentioned, we’ve finished mid table the last two seasons.

iirc Ferdinand said when he went to Utd his initial undoing was telling them how to combat the opposition rather than focusing on Utds strengths.
It’s was basically foreign to them to focus so much on the opposition rather than letting them worry about Utd.

That’s his style, his DNA, he absolutely will not change from how do defend what the opposition can offer, rather than contemplate if the best form of defence is attack.

The set piece defence has fallen apart as well which is ridiculous given the highest we have in our team. We should be one of the best in the league in both boxes and we look completely useless on offensive set pieces and like we’ll concede from every corner.

If this season had gone like it has (inconsistent, out of cups first round, bottled every chance to get into Europe) WHILE giving younger players some games, I'd have been ok with it.

But they've just wasted a year, had no PL experience and basically start next year from scratch.

At least they would have had some chance to get used to pace, intensity of PL.

It's been another season of Moyes-nothingness. We've had so many of them.

The league this season has been really poor in quality and its been as close as its ever been, we have had a great opportunity 5-6 times this season to get that win that puts us right there but time and time again we fail, don't be surprised if we get a result against City then get beat by Palace.

Remember that time he appointed Charlie Adam -who Davey's brother just so happens to be his agent- as a set piece coach, a job he had 0 experience in, he left and wasn't replaced. And we've conceded about 10 identical set pieces this season. Marginal gains and all that
