Moyes picks the team he thinks is less likely to lose, senior pro’s first.
No development of young players slowly being brought in.
Why did he keep Armstrong back? How many games has he played?
Why loan George, not play him but put in O’Neill who was virtually gone.
As for Dibling, Rohl and Alcaraz, they have wasted 1 in 10 of their professional performance years, sitting on a bench watching a manager trying not to lose.

Genuinely feel sorry for them.

After a mixed spell managing elsewhere, he’s taken over United at a low ebb and - as a popular ex player - has achieved short term success by making sensible changes and allowing everyone to feel more positive. It’s the exact same basis on which Leicester appointed Van Nistelrooy a couple of years ago. How are they getting on?

We needed a winger who could add to what we had, which in fairness to George he has, to an extent. He was, however, poor when he started against Bournemouth and awful when brought on in the derby. I don't think we should sign him, do you?

Dibling has made no argument that him playing makes us more likely to win. That's not playing it safe, it's just thinking he hasn't added anything, at all. I'd love to be wrong, but that only seems to be headed one way.

McNeil offers more chance of a better game. Look I want Dibling to be the answer, but Moyes sees him everyday in training and doesn’t think he’s doing enough. He has tried to give George minutes.

I’m not arguing that Moyes plays it safe, but I’m not sure I share the view that two kids, and more so Dibling are the answer to this game.

I dont take the view seriously that Dibling has been given chances.

Its a pipe dream. A few mins here and there or starting games right wing with a centre back behind you and the play down the left doesnt constitute a chance to me.

It makes a lot of difference to how Moyes impact can be viewed how we finish the season. We are going to limp over the finish line with Dyche’s starting lineup plus a brilliant KDH and a striker Moyes signed off on.

I’d have taken mid table if asked in August, but that maniac at Forest is showing it’s not hard to drastically improve a team that Dyche was about to relegate. So maybe being a bit better than recent years isn’t as monumental as it feels.
 
Alcarez, Rohl, Aznou, Armstrong, Dibling must despise him.
It can't be healthy for a squad a significant portion knowing no matter what you do on the pitch banishment will follow.
We've all been in squads were that happens and it is slowly corrosive.
Internally thinking 'how can you expect him to listen to you, show up to training etc, how can we keep them engaged", or "whatever better things to do than listen to you, show up to training, etc".

And I don’t agree that he hasn’t been given a chance, I’ve sat in the ground and watched him. He doesn’t look arsed, and he hasn’t shown anything the time he was on the pitch. Even more so Moyes watches him everyday in training and has said more than once that he needs to show more!

I think it’s a pipe dream that Moyes wouldn’t use him if had shown what he is capable of.

Oh well if youve been in the ground and if Moyes sees them in training...

Its a fair point.

I still think he would be a decent shout, but would prefer Iraola overall.

Armstrong and Aznou should have gotten way more game time than recently.

Can argue about Dibling. I feel George showed more than him with also very limited game time, leaving out Liverpool
 
To expect young lads to come on and have a masterclass is very unrealistic. That’s why they should have had 10mins here, 15mins there.
Starting them is Moyes making a point, ‘we need senior pros’.

He should of bloodied 2 or 3 of them every game and then he’d have a bench ready to go on when needed.
