2025/26 David Moyes

If you’d of given Moyes Lukaku he definitely would’ve won something. We had Lukaku for 4 years and it was truly wasted, in fairness, Koeman did really well with him, but Lukaku should be seen as one of the biggest wasted talents we’ve seen. Not because he didn’t perform, but because of the managers he had.
Agree completely, we were a top attacker and a couple of squad players away from being a top 4 team/winning things. The top 4 at the time was also ridiculously strong and they were all getting to the semis/finals of the champions league on a regular basis.

Very good today, cannot argue with that level of performance, it’s very difficult to muller a premier league team for an entire 90 minutes but that was about as close as you can get.
Yes defo. It's a win at an important moment. This was why Moyes was accepted back by even those bergrudging him the chance to return. He'll stop a drama growing into a crisis.

He's still way off what we need though. A better manager would have us another 5/6 points right now. And Garner for O'Brien and Iroegbunam in the MF was the patently obvious move to make in any case.

The league is so tight that there’s still an opportunity to do something this season. There’s no reason we can’t beat Newcastle and Forest at home in the next two. 5 or 6 points from the next three would put us in a very good position.

I've factored the Forest win already, tbh.

There's not much to that lot - as they've underlined this season. They just cant find the net.

Just for a bit of realism. 5/6 more points has us in 2nd place.

It’s funny that you think that we should be in 2nd place considering the majority of starting players are still the players from last season that you felt were bottom half players and were hoping to avoid relegation.

And that without having an actual striker that can score, or an actual right back and whilst playing our 4th choice CB.

Change of shape was what we needed. We've been saying for a while that KDH isn't a number 10. Play him as a number 8 and all of a sudden he's a much bigger influence.

Shape change and Garner to full back is exactly what I and a lot of other people were hoping for and, happily, it resulted in a much improved performance.

Good today. Could have been more emphatic, but let's not ask for perfection just yet.

Ultimately I just wanted Moyes to make a significant change as the previous setup was flawed and he was able to proceed with those actions, so I'm willing to give him credit. I thought with Garner as right back , our attack was bolstered and it stretched out the defense further. If he can continue to implement some tactical tweaks when required it will benefit the club

Sunderland was there recently…Bournemouth too…it’s too fluid at this stage
