2025/26 David Moyes

No he didn't, the announcement was made in June that we were signing him but he was on gardening leave until September 25 from City
Ok if that's the case fair enough.

Where is the proof that Moyes signs off on transfers.
Don't think any top league club does this any more.
They have teams that do it now.
Moyes being part of the team would be understandable but to think a head coach signs of off millions of pounds worth of players is for the fairies.

His literal entire career mate.

That's why we got rid of Thelwell and the DoF setup, Moyes wanted full control of transfers. Watch the interview Kinnear did, he says Moyes has the final say on transfers. I agree with you, we must be one of the few clubs that still operates like this but then we are still one of the few clubs that employs a more old school manager type and we did with Dyche, most clubs have a more head coach type now who wants to spend the bulk of their time on the training ground with players working on tactics and player development. We are still a club living and operating in the past for me.

Then this is worrying if true that the new owners have bowed to him.

Should never happen and all the blame lies at their door.

Yes I know he did under Kenwright but football has moved on.

Don't think he was in charge when he went to Utd. The bloke who took over from Gill did all the signings. Recall him making a hash of it.
That's exactly it - football's moved on, but Moyes hasn't.

So he wasn't in charge of transfers yet he wanted to sign Baines and he signed Fellaini? And was out the door in a season anyway. Even with that, he's been in charge or had a say in all transfers at every team; his brother's also followed him around as a scout or something too everywhere and is an agent.

The feller cant help himself:

"No one thought when I came in here last season that Beto could get goals".

...imagine being Beto and hearing that....then he says it's up to him and the staff to make him feel more confident!!

On Dibing: 'Barkley and Stones had to wait to get into the team'...yeah, when he left the club.
I will say that hopefully Beto is hearing what Moyes says all week long, which could be really positive and confidence-building, and not just that one soundbyte, but.....

....yeah, that didn't sound good at all.
