2025/26 David Moyes

Yeah, I really think he’s making a point about the strikers specifically. He wants a centre forward in Jan.

He should be mixing it up by now, trying the false 9 thing for a period in a game, at least.

I think he’s unnecessarily sacrificing pre-January form, pinning everything on pushing on in the new year with reinforcements.
I don't think the new owners will trust him with any more funds TBH - if we continue to slide down the league he could be gone by the next transfer window ...

Why not? His apparent signings haven't been to bad with Grealish, KDH and maybe Rohl. It's the transfer committee spending 70m on players for the future. How does this help Moyes now? He is basically saying get me an oven ready striker in Jan not some up and coming kid.

He’s head of the recruitment team and signed them all off. What did you want him to do?, go and buy a couple of soucek types ?? And we’d be back to where we were 6 yrs ago. I’m sure I’ve read we already have the 2nd or 3rd oldest starting 11, noise was TFG would not be spending big on players of a certain age and I also think they knew Moyes wouldn’t be here long

No he's not and he didn't sign them off.
The squad was woefully short of experience and we throw £70m at 3 prospects.

Couple more loans could have been a game changer if we want to go down the prospect route.

You can't tell me that Dibling wasn't bought to go into the team. We had no R/W apart from McNeil, it was only when Grealish was brought in that Illy moved to the right. Dibling was just not good enough to get in the team very poor recruitment.

Smith didn't start work till September mate, and is just a head scout basically and Hammond is a contract negotiator, Kinnear said Moyes gets the final say on every signing.
